The Boy is playing some very good baseball this season. Through three games, he’s batting .667 as my lead-off hitter. He hasn’t struck out once. In nine at-bats, he has six hits (four singles, two doubles). And he’s played two straight games as a catcher. It’s still too early to tell, but judging by his interest in the score book, he seems to really enjoy the sport.
The Boy wanted to play catcher at our most recent game. When I asked him why he told me it was because it’s the position I played. We went on to win 3-1 and he was instrumental in the game-winning run. What a great kid!
The Boy is a natural salesman. He sold his first allotment of Cub Scout Camp Cards and is ready for some more!
