Hey, no one’s gonna blame you Dubya … no one!

You’ve heard of Rickrolling? Now witness Obamarolling! Creative genius!

CNN Introduces the Hologram Reporter … WAY COOL!

I mentioned on Twitter during President Obama’s State of the Nation address earlier this week that I switched from Hulu’s Internet broadcast to CNN’s mainly because Hulu was having some streaming issues. However, they were streaming Fox News Channel’s version and I can’t stand Fox News and their warped and misguided brand of “journalism” though as a journalist, I wouldn’t call what they do journalism - it’s insulting to real journalists.

Anyhow, I always love when The Daily Show rips on Fox News so enjoy!

A friend and former colleague works at the Washington Times, so I visit the site regularly to read his articles. I even signed up for the daily news recap that arrives in my inbox each morning. The other day, I got an e-mail from the Washington Times and much to my surprise, it was a political message addressed to a “fellow conservative.” Um… I don’t know how to break this to you, Washington Times, but I am NOT a conservative, much less a Republican or a member of the GOP. I didn’t vote for you guy - even though I admire and respect him - because I don’t agree with your politics, oh, and I’m still kinda pissed off about that whole Dubya thing - thanks for that, we really appreciate you flushing our country down the toilet. You guys are awesome.

This unsolicited e-mail really rubbed me the wrong way, so I did what any responsible and involved citizen does - I blogged about it. I am not so naive as to believe the newspapers and news organizations are completely unbiased when it comes to politics - after all, we still live in a world where newspapers “endorse” a particular candidate and even as a journalism student and veteran journalist, I never understood how publishers reconciled the conflict of interest. Apparently, I don’t get paid enough money to understand. That being said, I’m going to lunch with a fellow liberal.

I realize this post will likely annoy, piss off and/or anger any republican friends I might have, but after eight years of Dubya, they can deal with it because this is funny!

Eric Nies: You’re going to stop the whole country from having sex?

Christine O’Donnell: Yeah!

Oh. Well, OK. How’s all that hopey-changey stuff working out for you, Christine?

Republicans want Americans to stop having sex. This should be at the heart of every Democratic candidate’s campaign. Landslide, guaranteed.

Congratulations to Republican Christine O’Donnell, who, after seven years, has successfully stopped all kids from having sex.

Palin effectively quoted Ronald Reagan arguing that the criminal alone is responsible for the crime. “Acts of monstrous criminality stand on their own. They begin and end with the criminals who commit them,” she said. Good. Then she went on to say that “journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn.” Bad. You can’t argue that words don’t create criminals and then argue in the next breath that, actually, yes, they might.
