It’s official — the next season of The Simpsons will be its last. FOX executives released a statement saying that even if the voice cast agrees to take a massive 45% pay cut, the show will end after next season because it is no longer profitable as a first run-series. What a joke! The Simpsons is profitable! Frankly speaking, I think FOX just wants to keep their cast intact at a lower price. If anything, it’s the FOX executives that should be taking a pay cut! Ugh.
Bollocks.
Congratulations to FRINGE on receiving a Critics’ Choice Nomination for Best Drama Series, John Noble for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, and Anna Torv for Best Actress in a Drama Series!
Why am I so vehement that Fringe be saved, you ask? Well, it’s one of the few really smart shows remaining on network television. It’s rare that you get to see a complex story played out so intricately (on FOX, no less). When Fringe goes, the rest are sure to go — and it would quite possibly negatively affect the TV landscape forever.

Our show has developed a devoted, rabid fan base. Our critical praise has never been higher. And our fan support has never been more passionate. If we can translate that to Friday nights, which has much lower expectations, we will be around for a good long time.
What happened to the mysterious “Observers” from the first two seasons of Fringe? And I had no idea that Fox put “Observers” in the audience of American Idol and on the sideline of NFL games. Very clever!
