The power was out at my office (right) this AM, so I went across the street with my MacBook to work at the Inn at Virginia Tech (left).
Update from the Blacksburg Police: Suspect Andy William Altizer has been apprehended by police. Situation is all clear.
I won’t say exactly how many donuts I ate, but it was more than one and less than 12. And that’s all I have to say about that.
If you’ve driven by the Duck Pond at Virginia Tech recently, you’ve probably wondered what’s going on with that old building? Well, Albert Raboteau and I stopped by the “old building,” also known as Solitude, on Friday to get an up close look at the renovations that have begun.
We took more than 100 photos, inside and out, and Albert’s working on a slide show to go with some history on the historic landmark, as well as an update to the work being done on the old building.
Until then, enjoy a sneak preview and stay tuned!
I was at the Media Annex building near Squires today and snapped this shot. It’s a beautiful fall day here in Blacksburg today. Currently 66 degrees. Just perfect!
(19/365 - March 9, 2011) Spring break couldn’t have come at a better time for Virginia Tech students. Since they’ve been gone, we’ve been getting soaked here in the NRV. We had 2-4 inches of rain last weekend and are currently being doused with another 1-3 inches. It’s cold, wet and miserable here in the Burg. But, it still beats living in Charlottesville!
Just another day in Bleaksburg.
(38/365 - March 28, 2011) Last week it was 80 degrees and spring was in full effect. Today, it’s snowing. Go figure.
Out like a lion, as they say. A snowy morning in the ‘Burg.
Already looking forward to taking the Boy to Steppin’ Out again this year! Last year, he learned how to hulu hoop. Last month, I was approached by an ad agency that asked if they could pitch this video to a client for a commercial. I said sure, but the client chose another clip. Their loss!
When I have children they will know all the words to this song! I love it that little boy is so cute! Yay for future Hokies :)
That’s my son! Good job, buddy!
