So, I got the most random e-mail today from a producer of FOX’s The Best Damn Sports Show Period. For those that may not have been bored to tears by my stories of being a TV personality (or lackthereof), I used to be a sports anchor for WVIR, the NBC affiliate in Charlottesville, Va.
Here’s the e-mail I received today:
Gary,
I am a producer with FOX’s Best Damn Sports Show Period in Los Angeles.
We are currently working on a show tentatively titled “Top 50 Sports TV Bloopers”. At this point, we are trying to gather clips to include in the show.
I came across a YouTube clip of you trying your hand at women’s lacrosse with the UVA team, it was pretty funny.
We would like to license this clip for use. I have not heard back from anyone at WVIR so I googled your name and decided to contact you directly.
Please let me know if this is possible.
Thank you.
