Me, Her, the Boy and a Dog

The adventures of me, her, my boy and our dog as we navigate life in a crazy world. We love the outdoors, sports, reading, playing, and of course, the Virginia Tech Hokies and the William & Mary Tribe.

Also, I founded the GoFightWinVT Tumblr, so if you're a Hokie, give it a follow. And, feel free to check out my Project 365 Tumblr.

Best Buy Gift CardRaise your hand if you like gift cards instead of a hand-knitted sweater? Yeah, that’s what I thought. What are YOU getting for Christmas? A shirt that doesn’t fit? A hat that doesn’t match anything you own? Maybe a another power tool that will sit in your garage and never get used. Let’s get real, people. Gift cards at the way to go! Everyone is happy with a gift card! The giver suffers from less stress and the recipient of the card gets what they really want.

Now, raise your hand if you forgot to get something for someone on your list. Hey, it’s okay, it happens! The holidays are busy and we forget sometimes. But, here’s the good news: the after-Christmas sales are just a few days away so if you get a gift card now, the person you forgot about will forgive you because their card will go even further!

But what kind of gift card should you get? Well, I’d recommend starting somewhere like GiftCardMall.com, which has a huge selection of gift cards from major stores like Best Buy, Apple iTunes, and Bed, Bath & Beyond. There are also restaurants like Applebee’s and Chili’s and so much more - 80,000 storefronts as a matter of fact! It just so happens that the business I just listed happen to be some of my favorites … just in case you were wondering … (*wink* *wink*)

No more ugly ties! No more subscriptions to “Jelly of the Month” club! Get something your friends and family will love - control over their own gifts! And remember, gift cards make great gifts all year round! Especially on Jan. 4 … my birthday. I’m just throwin’ that out there - do with it what you want. ;)

Merry Christmas, everyone!

*Just FYI … I do not recommend gift cards alone for your husband, wife or significant other unless previously agreed upon and even then, don’t fall for it. You can still get one for them - they’ll love it - but you better have something else that required some thought. You’ve been warned!
