It’s not even winter yet. Shoot, we’re barely into fall and already I’m looking ahead to next summer’s beach vacation. For the first time in six years, I did not make it to the beach this summer and even though I’ve never considered myself a big fan of the beach, I actually missed it! Especially being there with my son, Nic, who is a little beach bum like his mom.
For the first time, I will be making all of the arrangements which mainly includes booking the rental. In past years we’ve stayed at hotels, condos and houses and I prefer houses - much more private, especially if you get one with a pool.
If I start saving for the trip now, I’ll be in good shape to pay for the whole thing by the time summer rolls around. Plus, I plan on inviting some friends and their kids to help alleviate the cost of the rental. It’s the best way to go! I started my vacation home rentals search today and have already found some awesome properties that I think Nic would love!
Have any suggestions on beaches I should check out? I’ve been to Myrtle Beach several times and of course, growing up in Tidewater, I spend most of my summer vacations at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I’ve heard Wilmington has a nice beach front, but I’ve also heard there’s not much to do other than the beach.
