I take my son to the ER and pay a co-pay that is about 100% more than I paid 10 years ago. I then get THREE bills (the hospital, doctor and radiologist) that the insurance didn’t cover totalling nearly $300. This is WITH a “good” health care plan. And the insurance company is paying less for my care and at the same time making record profits? I’m not missing anything, right? I pay a lot more out of pocket every year and every year the insurance companies make more money for their shareholders. OK. Just wanted to make sure I have that straight.
