Who I Follow
My office installed an air horn near the printers in the event of future earthquakes like the one we had in August. You see, while everyone else in the building got the heck out because, uh, you know, the building was shaking; there were those that stuck around, uh, you know, while the building was shaking, flipping through the emergency manual looking for the “what to do in the event of an earthquake” section, which, of course, there wasn’t because we’d never had an earthquake big enough to warrant having a section in the manual. Look, they can install whatever they want, but it seems silly to me. If the building is shaking, I don’t need an air horn to warn me to get out. Do you live in an earthquake prone area? What warning system do you have in your office?
