Fit Test & Max Interval Circuit
It’s going to be a crazy week and since my body has been pretty banged up the last week or so, I’ve decided to just take this week off, recover and pick up where I left off next Monday. However, I did want to take the fit test and see where I am.
Switch Kicks = 63 (+7)
Power Jacks = 51 (+4)
Power Knees = 98 (+4)
Power Jumps = 52 (no change)
Globe Jumps (i.e. Death) = 10 (no change)
Suicide Jumps = 19 (+1)
Push-up Jacks = 27 (-2)
Low Plank Obliques = 56 (+3)
Let’s clear something up, there’s no way that Tonya did 120 switch kicks. The cheater is counting each kick as one rep. Uh, no. Two kicks - one left, one right - equals one rep. I was going at right about her pace and did 63, or as Tonya would write down, 126.
I went so hard in the beginning trying to beat my Day 15 fit test numbers that I fizzled at the end. No change in power jumps or globe jumps and actually went down a pair of push-up jacks.
I’ve been unusually fatigued this week - too much going on I suppose. So I’m sure my body will enjoy the break.
Stay fit, fitblrs.
Day 36/63 semi-complete.
So I get to work today and there’s a package sitting on my chair. I was thinking it was something I ordered from B&H Photo and Video, but instead, it’s from my Tumblr Buddy!
Inside, a brand spanking new t-shirt and if you know me, you know I love soft t-shirts. My TB got me a Fight Club t-shirt, which is now my favorite shirt. I wear it in the evenings when I get home and on the weekends if we’re just out and about. I occasionally wash it, too.
I got a couple of new t-shirts recently, one from Business Bullpen, the company I do contract work with, and a new Trampled by Turtles tee at the concert last month. And now this one, which feature New Orleans’ man-hole cover design, which according to my TB just one of those strange designs that took off and became wildly popular.
I also got a nice hand-written letter, which for this old guy is always a plus! I spend my entire days at the office working on computers and reading emails and blah blah blah, so getting a old-fashioned letter that someone took the time to write means a lot. I’m a simple man and it’s the little things.
My TB has been busy with final exams and moving for an internship. Congrats on the internship and you’ll do great, trust me! Despite all the craziness in their life, they still took the time to think of someone else who happens to be a perfect stranger. And THAT is what the TB experiment is all about.
Included with the t-shirt and letter was a new workout CD that I’ve already imported into my iTunes. I will probably try to recreate it via my Rdio account so I can take it with me anywhere! There are a lot of new-to-me tunes on there, but that’s just fine, I’m always trying to try new music and at the very least, these songs will be a great running soundtrack. Thanks, TB!
But the coup de gras of the package, at least by The Boy’s standards, is the 12 MP waterproof digital camera that arrived just in time for our trip to Bush Gardens and Water Country USA. Are you freaking kidding me? A 12MP waterproof digital camera? Oh snap! There will be plenty of videos of The Boy going down various rides at Water Country appearing on my Tumblr in the very near future.
Thank you so much Tumblr Buddy! I couldn’t have asked for a better TB! Drop me an anon soon and let me know how the internship is going!
Also, there’s more talk of the SEC showing interest in Virginia Tech. Interesting, very interesting!
This 15 year old just won $75,000 for developing a test for pancreatic cancer that’s over 90 percent accuracy, and 28 times faster, 28 times less expensive and over 100 times more sensitive than current tests.
I made coffee…I’m a slacker.

Cardio Core & Balance
Saturday was the last day of cardio recovery week and I got through it pretty much in-step with Sean T. Level 1 pushups and all. Nailed it.
Day 34/63 complete. Month two begins tonight, after fit test no. 3.
Awwww you guys! Nothing make’s a Tumblr’s day like a little Tumblr love. I hope you are all having an outstanding Monday!
